Investment Management OFFICER (M/F)

In the frame of a replacement, ADEPA Luxembourg is looking for a Middle Office – Officer, CDI Contract.

 

MAIN TASKS 

The function of this role will be to work within the middle office team of the Investment Management Services department.  More particularly the role will involve:

  • Performing pre-trade compliance checks on investment recommendations for both UCITS and AIFs, including being able to analyse the underlying investment
  • Being able to analyse “illiquid” instruments in AIFs’ portfolios and to assess their liquidity
  • Trading equities, mutual and hedge funds, fixed income, FX, ETFs and loans;
  • Executing and performing oversight on the trades placed by brokers on daily basis, including and not limited to instructing trades to Depo Bank for settlement and reporting them to the Fund Admin department of Adepa
  • Developing and maintaining our Order Management System (OMS), including and not limited to:
    • Stress test on model portfolio and investment compliance rules;
    • Securities creation & daily reconciliation
  • Identifying opportunities for simplification and streamlining of processes
  • Acting as primary contact for delegates of funds like Investment Advisors (IA), Depositary Banks, Brokers, Transfer Agent, Service Providers.
  • Being the ambassador of OMS and presenting the tool to existing and prospect clients, including training and hot-line
  • Managing accounts with existing and new brokers.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master in finance or equivalent or experience as in trading or Investment Management
  • Relevant experience in a similar position will be an advantage 2-5 years
  • Good knowledge of investment funds and main financial products
  • Fluent in English, any other European language is a plus.
  • Good command of the MS office tools (mainly Excel and Outlook)
