Java Developer
In the context of the growing of the IT department and its technological continuous improvement process, we are hiring a Java Developer. This new position will help to achieve new goals and transform into applications the knowledge available in Adepa.
This new position is open in Spain, and will work globally for the Adepa Group, in touch with the financial sector in Luxembourg, one of the most significant jurisdictions on these matters.
The position will be integrated in Adepa’s IT department and will report directly to the Head of Division.
Main responsibilities
- Development of corporate applications and utilities, needed for the normal developments of business activities in Adepa.
- Design and development of interfaces for automatic interchanging of information among internal systems and third parties, by different means (SFTP, REST, email).
- Proactive monitoring of the proper function of the applications.
- Prepare, and eventually automate, data extractions that may be needed at clients’ or internal users’ request.
- Elaborate documentation about applications and instruct the helpdesk team on them.
- Participate in the design of new solutions/applications.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in development.
- Sound experience developing both web and standalone applications.
- Sound experience developing applications using Java and Spring Boot. Knowledge of scripting tools (Powershell, Python).
- Experience in SQL (as a programmer), with special focus on Oracle and MySQL.
- Knowledge on “VBA for Applications” and Excel macros.
- Knowledge in data integration and ETL processes.
- Knowledge in “Vaadin” framework would be appreciated.
- Basic knowledge about networking.
- Fluency in English (for discussing about technical matters with users and colleagues). Other languages, especially Italian and French are a plus.
- Sound organizational and corporate skills.
- Solution oriented.
- Ability to think clearly and define proper priorities
